We are absolutely delighted with Ofsted’s findings. We are officially a “Good” school, with our Early Years and Foundation Stage (Nursery/Reception) providing an "Outstanding" provision for your children.
Teaching is outstanding. Adults teach phonics daily, using a combination of approaches to meet the needs of the children. They provide numerous opportunities for children to practise and apply their phonic knowledge throughout the day. As a result, the great majority of children attain a good knowledge of letters and sounds.
When Ofsted inspected the academy they found:
Effectiveness of leadership and management to be Good
Quality of teaching to be Good
Behaviour and safety of pupils to be Good
Achievement of pupils to be good and
Early Years provision to be Outstanding
The entire report is a celebration of what can be achieved when all within a community work together to ensure our young people are valued, cared for and challenged to fulfil their potential. Can I again draw parents/carers attention to the fact that the Ofsted team make special reference within the report to the ‘outstanding’ behaviours of the students, which is a real credit to both them and yourselves as parents/carers.
Finally, many thanks to all those parents/carers who returned the Ofsted questionnaire via Parent View. Your returns were overwhelmingly supportive.
Many thanks for your continued support. Together we can ensure that we build upon this splendid success and look to become ‘outstanding’ at our next inspection.
